Don't ask how, but I've found a workaround to the no-text problems some users are having until we get a patch.
From the main menu, click the options button. Since you don't have text, that's the third from the bottom.
Click the button in the lower right-hand corner to Apply settings. This works even if you don't make any changes.
Now click the left-hand button to confirm. You should now have text!
Drop a post if this works for you. Hell, drop a post even if it doesn't.
