I got a problem with the following patch
GensisRisingPatch_US_CD_1.02_1.031
found at http://www.genesisrisinggame.com/updates.html

After download i first tried to run the executable from the desktop and it showed the following lines
E:\Genesis Rising\bin\Engine.dll
E:\Genesis Rising\bin\Game.dll
E:\Genesis Rising\bin\GameSPY.dll
E:\Genesis Rising\bin\GenesisRising.exe
After which a box pops up saying the very cryptic error
"Patching failed"
"Roll back performed"

I then thought that it might be because it was not in the bin directory and tired to paste the patch in there. But that produced the same error. Then I tried to use the patchIt file in the bin folder, but it just said
"Nothing to patch! Reason: No valid patch found"
I tried this both while the patch was in the bin directory and while it was on the desktop, and I also tried to have it in the game folder only. Last I have tried to reinstall the game after doing a regedit sweep to make sure I got everything out.

After the 2nd install I tried to run the patch only from the bin folder, with the same result.

Now I dont know the reason, but a considering I got a DVD Uk edition of the game then I assume that there might be a problem with a patch saying US CD! As a last comment, then I run on an Win XP SP 2 system.

Thanks alot in advance!

GensisRisingPatch_US_CD_1.02_1.031 is only for US CD version. UK version has a different patch but I don't know when it will be released.

I seem to keep reading "we don't know when it will be released but soon", how long is a piece of string, "soon" is the answer, sort this out cos i have a game i can't use properly, it annoys me more cos my GF brought me this & it's £30 wasted

I'm very sorry because you guys wait for the patch this long. 1.04 patch is in the test phase and it will be released soon (and soon, in this case, is counted by days not weeks :)) and it will be released for all distributions.
