"The Requested Full Screen Mode Is Not Supported By Your Graphics Card. Run In Windowed Mode Instead?"

I get this message when I try to start the game, and when I hit "YES," the game does not work well. It hangs out of the screen, and my mouse is duplicated, both in the screen and out, making it nigh on impossible to even get the game started. I have tried editing the resolution file, my version of directx is up to date, and my video drivers are up to date...

It seams that the default resolution (1280x1024 with 60Hz refresh rate) is not supported by your monitor. Please edit manually resolution settings in the Cruciform.cfg. This file is located in the game's data folder. Before editing, please study well what resolutions/refresh rates are supported by your graphics hardware and monitor by looking at your display driver settings (you can potentially damage your monitor if you use unsupported/odd values for resolution and refresh rate).

As I said earlier, I already tried editing the values in the cruciform.cfg file. There was no change in gameplay.

I got this message too. But the game runs fine and NOT in a Windowed mode. I use 1024*768 on my desktop and 1280*1024 in most of my games (I have a CRT not a LCD monitor). This is just another annoying bug.

This is not a bug. The game is reading supported resolutions and refresh rates from system. If you can use 1280x1024 in other games there is no reason why you could not use it in this game too. You just need to find out allowed refresh rates for this resolution for your monitor and adjust the "frequency" variable in the Cruciform.cfg to this value. Or you can just pick one of the supported resolutions in-game, from the resolution settings drop down menu at the graphics settings menu.

But I can play the game at 1280x1024. I only got this annoying messsage and that was all. That is why I consider it a bug.

Please go to the options/graphics settings and chose one of the available resolutions and then click on the apply button. After this you should no longer get this message.

quick question guys, how do u edit the crucial.cgf file ror something and mine works but its all like zoomed in the one spot and its really annoying?
