Problem while starting the game

Hey I have got a computer with Intel 845 GVSR mother board, Celeron 2.0GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and 40 GB hard disk. I have installed Pain Killer game with out any hassles. But while launching the game it is giving an error message "Could not initialise Directx renderer". Please tell me how solve this problem.

I also asked PCF about this, their reply was much the same as many developers - they assumed that if the card didn't support Hardware T&L, it was probably too crap to play PK anyway.

However having played with PK on my laptop now for some time, I think this is not a valid assumption. The software workaround is more than good enough to enjoy PK on lesser graphics cards.
