Alright, I am running Windows XP. Not too long ago I bought the downloaded version, and it had some problem that prevented me from playing the game, so I downloaded the 1.4 patch. This caused another error, so I gave it up for a while. Recently, I downloaded the new patch, and when I started a game it said "Starting game..." for around a minute, before giving me an error that said http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b227/spyderalien/argh.jpg
What should I do?

I've already been there, and they don't appear to have my problem (The closest one advises me to install the updates, which I already did, or configure my firewall, which I didn't even have on at the time).

Since i dont own this game and im no technican i only can guess whats wrong. But before this i have some questions.
Have U tryed to reinstall the game. Did U got any errors during the download/installing/patching? And what PC do U have (CPU,GFX, etc)?

Okay, I guess I solved the problem, but that opened up a new one. I feel kind of stupid, but the 1.4 patch was going to the wrong directory. But now that I've corrected that, the game won't even start. If I'm looking at the task bar, I can see "Joshua" start to pop up, but it closes in a second. I have no clue whatsoever as what to do.

And just another idea: Are U using a NVidia firewall?

I do have another computer to put it on, but I don't want to go through the trouble of putting it on there, and I want it on my desktop, not my laptop, as that would be very inconvenient.

Hello spyderalien,
Would you please post the make and model of your video card? To determine what you have, click the Start button, then click Run..., and then type dxdiag in the box and click OK. The DxDiag utility will appear - click the Display tab and give us the name (and chip type).

It says the name is Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller. It calls the chip type the same thing.

You have an integrated graphics controller, whereas a video card is required to run this game. While Superpower 2 is not on the following Intel compatibility list, this shows you that the 82865G controller will not play all games:

Edit: The most common problem is it does not have Transform and Lighting nor vertex/pixel shader capabilities.

3DAnalyze will work in many cases, although stability and performance may be impacted. Of course, installing even a $100 video card will be vastly superior with regard to 3D rendering.

Alright, thanks for the help. Ironically enough, I just bought another game that needs a new card, so I'll probably run out and get one pretty quick. I should start paying attention to these things.
