I am running Dungeon Lords Collector's Edition on a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista Home Edition...
On attempting to load a saved game, the following occurs:
error message at top of screen - TerrQuad_ReadTerrObjFileInfo:: Invalid Slot #3
press enter & next message reads - TerrQuad_FetchObjectData:: FileInfo Record Size Mismatch
press enter & Windows messagebox opens - dlords.exe has stopped working
Any ideas???

Things like laptops and Vista cause some game problems. A laptop usually has a built-in graphics chip and some games don't like that either.
This site is too dead for help. Go to the following site, register, and post there;

Hi Mikey,
Did anyone get back to you re: the invalid slot #3 error? We are experiencing the same issue (Vista Home Edition) and can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Lisa,
Here's the reply I got from the wonderful DreamCatcher Tech Support:
"Thank you for contacting DreamCatcher Interactive's Technical Support
department.
Please note that a number of our titles are not tested on Windows Vista
for stability. As such we cannot guarantee that the game will work
properly, if at all. In the future there will be more information
regarding our titles and Windows Vista.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or comments."
Not much help there...
I've removed the game from my laptop & installed on a Dell/WinXP desktop system... no problems except it runs a little slow.

mikey,
Thanks for replying. I think I'm going to try the same thing. Install Windows XP. Thanks again. See ya.

One question. did you give the program admin run rights, Or possibly jsust turn off the annoying UAC feature of VISTA? Not sure if that'll help your porblem but worth a try. (I think you just right click on the icon and somewhere in properties is the run with admin rights checkbox...)

I am having the same issue with the same error, invalid slot #3, when I try to leave the west gate out of fargrove. I am running vista premium. I am running it in program compatability mode though. Did switching to XP work? I wrote tech support but have not got any response, maybe they'll put out a patch, I've tried everything and just cannot get passed this point.:(
One thing I have not tried is the run with admin rights trick, when I did try I had to create a whole new charactrer. Is there anyway to use you same character? Does the admin thing work for sure??
