View Full Version : Card bug w/ Painkiller:GE

I checked to make sure this wasn't discussed in the FAQ or TechSupport.
I have the Gold Edition patched to 1.64.
It seems that when I beat BooH and decide to start over in another difficulty (let's say I beat Nightmare and want to start on Trauma); I chose to keep all the cards/scores/gold that I acquired. The problem is if you have a BooH silver card in the tarot (one that dissapears because you can't use in normal PK) and you start a new game with your stuff saved the silver tarot slots are vacant but I noticed during playing that the game treated it as if it was still in effect.

For example, I had the vampirism silver card (the one u get from alastor) and i started a new game (again all cards saved) and even though I filled the card slots with PK ones (which worked normally) I was still leeching life from damage as if I still had the vampire card. I went through the entire game with it and had the 666 ammo card and it added the effect.

Anyone else have this bug? I guess you could see it as a positive glitch to get BooH silver cards in effect without using slots. I'm a bit of a completist -- I noticed I couldn't get the Forest card (to get u can't have any cards equipped) when I had this bug (tarot was empty but objective failed on start), it had to be the vampire card still in effect.

Yes, that's a well known bug discovered shortly after the release of BOOH. I'm not sure if I fixed that in Powermad (lol), but I know that I tried.
