I need help

At the Shadow Ruins, I put the stone into the alter but did not get through the portal in time. Now I cannot get in, and it will not let me take the stone out to try it again. How do I get into the portal. And I did not save it the game either so i can't restart it.

You might try some of the trainers that are out. They can get you through walls although if you do a search that might be a known bug with some workaround.
