Hey...
some of you might remember the Loony Park madness we started after the Battle out of Hell release. That level allows for a lot of shortcuts. Varus discovered how to trigger the level end early, and we have seen a lot of cool videos of this level. There are my own, like the one with 29 kills (http://www.kalme.de/painkiller/index.php/content/view/48/29/) or the first one that finished the level with zero kills (http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22461). Frag Maniac did it in slightly more than a minute with just a single kill (http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22618), but the master of us all would be Cyody who made the fastest run with zero kills in only 39 seconds (http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30357).
Now that Loony Park has been reworked in Overdose, what's still in it? I'll make a start with 70 kills, using three shortcuts:
Loony Park (Overdose) fun (http://www.kalme.de/painkiller/index.php/content/view/96/29/)
The last shortcut combined with Cyodys first ones could lower that number even more I think.

Ah...very nice and smiling..I love these crazy ways and stuffs.
I didn't record it yet, but maybe I should do it, because it'd be the continuation of your run...
Because I was surprised at my first run that all slots were closed after the finish...I did a back tracking of the whole level ...back to the first stage and then each one again but now with closed doors. That was a funny challenge. :D
And I got the idea to remap this nice level with some secrets and items on places which you can't arrive on "normal" ways...;)
...a voice from the darkness.....
As I wrote on Dark's Forums... :)
Nice video, I loved the 3rd shortcut-jump the most! I like when things can be done by simple movement, I like such things due to the MP. Like gaining speed from objects and reaching higher places, very nice... ;)
I smiled on the first shortcut too: I actually got the MegaHealth-Secret by using that "invisible wall" or whatever is that. The shadow of it is still there and it seems MW-Guys just hided that by leaving it untextured. I had no better idea at the moment, and I noticed it still works, so I got the Secret by climbing it again... :D But it was bugging me, so I watched Your secretvideo for "Loony Park" and WOW, nice way, can't believe I didn't think of it...

/me likes, but can anyone explain to me the mechanics of why "the cube helps"? Kalme, i seem to remember you bladejumping in your Stone Pit secrets video as well and i really don't understand how that technique affects collision or speed or jump height or whatever.. maybe this is just a superstition? :
Oh and yeah - climbing the air would be the ULTIMATE PWNAGE of the good-ol Pain engine :D

Here is the link for the shortcut. Not very impresive but still does the job with less kills :P

I had to find a place to put this. I know alot of you didn't like OD ( and for good reason) but if you think back to the way it was RUSHED out you can see why it failed. Now after seeing this story made me LOL!!!! PS why is it called DREAMKILLER? HMMMMMMMMM...
