Friends, here are the rules (http://www.darkscorner.de/forums/viewtopic.php?t=872)to enter The Hall of Fame if you like! Here (http://www.darkscorner.de/forums/viewtopic.php?t=866) or in this forum you can post your result (best with screenshot) or send a mail with shot to my adress. So we can add you to the HoF. ;)
Cheers

Peppins: To avoid this error, please start the benchmark from the menu, not from within a level. You can start the benchmark from within a level, but only after you've picked up the Cube (so basically after the first section in Cataclysm), if you need to. This error is caused by the player not starting with the first weapon (Cube) in Overdose (you start with the screamer).
Maybe I can add a workaround for this, I'll take a look at it.

Kalme I can't open the console in the menu, the "\" not function
ps. for the result of benchmark, this option:
Resolution: 1024x768
Settings: All on high or Ultra without figure shadows and without AA and AF (use bilinear).
are very low for me. I get more than 100fps at 1920x1200 with all high AA4x AF16x... :D
pps. @Kalme: how i can start the benchmark? The console not function in the menu :(

Yes, Painkiller is known to be picky with foreign (= non-US) keyboard layouts. Fortunately there's an easy solution:
Go to: Control Panel/Regional and Language Options
On the "Languages" tab, click the button "Details..."
You should see the following window:
http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/1627/textservicesat0.th.png (http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=textservicesat0.png)
If you don't have the English keyboard layout (US) in your list, click "Add..." in the "Installed services" area and add it.
By default, you can now switch between the different keyboard layouts with "Left Alt + Shift". You can set up custom keys for this if you want by clicking "key settings":
http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/330/switchlanguagesaz4.th.png (http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=switchlanguagesaz4.png)
Now start up Painkiller/Overdose etc. and press "Left Alt + Shift" in the menu to switch to the US keyboard layout. Now the console key should work (the one left to "1", just below "Escape", don't know what key that is on your French keyboard :D).

Scores in the Ragnarok benchmark are significantly lower than in C5L2. For me, it's only ~31%. But feel free to bench at higher settings, of course. Like I wrote in the first post, with everything "as max as it can be" at 1600x1200 I get 57.89.

Sorry guys, I had screwed up my (new) machine with remains from a recording tool I'm working on. That resulted in noticably poorer performance than I could have reached (for a detailed explanation read this (http://www.darkscorner.de/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17758#17758)). Anyway, here are my updated results:
640x480
everything off/min
clipplane 0
136.95
1024x768
everything on/max except shadows, and no AF/AA
clipplane 100
122.25
1600x1200
everything on/max, including AF + 6xAA
clipplane 100

Hold on there! A high benchmark only means that you've bought a high end PC (like me) or are bl**dy good at building and tuning PCs (like Kalme :)). Doing stuff like the "Experience" vids on a 'normal' PC is hugely more impressive than me jumping all over the place 'cos my frame rate lets me. If we ever met in MP Deathmatch (which is never going to happen :D) I suspect I would be a red smear across a wall in no time at all.
All our benchmarks belong in a "Hall of Fame" and those who play, enjoy and succeed in PK with a low frame rate (as I did back in 2004 ... except for the "succeed" bit :o) deserve just as much recognition as those with processing monsters.
I hope everyone posts here, no matter what their score. After all, we're all playing the same game.
Cheers

I agree, maybe we should make a Frags-per-FPS list, that would turn things around very quickly :D

kalme my score for now is 150fps at 1024x768 everything on/max except shadows, and no AF/AA. And 1920x1200 AA4x AF16x all high and enable is 125 :D (I play with this config)

Short update at the HoF. (http://www.darkscorner.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=770&Itemid=413) Please Peppins post your CPU and GPU, i've missed it, and Mr. Henky can you repeat the BM with the "right" settings? THX

Uh Dark, my videocard isn't correct in HoF: I have a Gainward Bliss 7600 GT for a while (with the Radeon 9550 I would get lower scores than poor Blood :D). I know I'm lazy to update my XFire-profile but actually in the MP noone cares what I have... :D So please change the videocard there. Thanks! :)

Okay, update. (http://www.darkscorner.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=770&Itemid=413)
It must be very painfull to play with such a slow system, right? :D

right... but I play it at 1920x1200 AA4x AF16x all maxed :D

Anyway in the MP that card was near perfect, I usually got the 125 FPS with minimum settings all the time (when it was rather "lagless"), just sometimes I think it dropped a bit during some too intense actions. But in the SP, I had to lower and turn off some settings and the FPS still wasn't nice (20-100, I think)... :D

OK, i assume everyone here had to create a folder "Screenshots" in Overdose/Data directory - so i did, and after the benchmark i clicked F12 to shoot.
Where does the DAMNED screenshot appear? I can't find it anywhere in the whole Overdose folder...
ANYBODY answer please?!!!

Not 100% sure on this one Atas but have a look under the following leaf on your XP machine:
{Boot drive}:\Documents and Settings\{Username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Painkiller Overdose\
where {Username} is the UserID you logged into XP using.
Painkiller:OD stores its saves and logs in this folder structure so it's highly likely that screenshots would end up here as well.

Thank's Blaise, but i found Fraps to be just as good as ever.
1024x768, ALL settings MAX/ON, 6xAA + AF.

Funny, changing resolution does not seem to have big impact in result - i switched from 1024x768 to 1280x1024 with the rest settings left same way and the result was only slightly lower:
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/8095/odsuxfa3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
This only a 2.2 % decrease, thant's nice!
However with default clocks in 3DMARK06 if i change resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x1024, the score drops from 6200 to 5200! = 16 %.

That's why this kind of tests are useless.

Not useless, but the bottom line i think is this - if i can get stable 60+ FPS with MAXIMUM settings on 1280x960, than i don't need anything more powerfull, the 7600GT would be copletely enough to me.
Please post what VGA/CPU you all use before presenting benchmarks.
