I finally got my computer together and my video card on the way.
Dual core 2.0ghz
1 gig of ram
300 gigs of hard drive space
DVD rom
and my new card is on its way. What do you guys think? Good choice? Maybe now I can max out PK.

My new computer should be arriving the 28th:
Geforce 8800GTX, 4GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 500GB hd.
How fast will be the loading times? I'm going to uninstall overdose if they're over 20 seconds long.

Sounds like my kind of computer. Nothing I can complain about, which is odd.
I love me some AMD/ASUS/nVidia

I've got a similarly spec'd system. Install Powermad or put in the Mindware 'fix' and you'll have no problem. Have fun :)

I'd buy an 8800 but I'm broke right now. My job doesn't give me many hours during the winter. Nice comps guys, I wish I could compete lol. But I'm excited. Finally out of single core and AGP.

Luigi, take a look here (http://www.darkscorner.de/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17555#17555) to see how my Overdose loading times a) improved after applying the loading hack and b) improved further after upgrading my system to a Core2Duo 6750@3.2 GHz, 4GiB RAM and Overdose on a Raid 0 harddisc setup (video card 7800gt). All the times are <= 15 seconds, so you shouldn't have a problem getting < 20 seconds.

My loading time is roughly 30-45 seconds. I'm not impressed with OD at all. I'm actually disappointed. Very cool levels, but to me, it is never what the first PK was. Looks like they tried too hard on this one. :(

Ohhhh thanks, I'll be trying that next week.
