View Full Version : i have ??? marks in item stats. pls help
I tried the collectors edition. Character still run after i release the forward button, and i cant see the stats of the actual loot, cause ther are only ??? marks.
this is still buggy like this after a 1.5 patch?

It is because you haven't identified the item yet. You can do this once you are in town at one of the shops. If you are a mage, there is also a skill in the Celestial Magic vein that I believe will let you do it.

wow u thought it was a bug thats how the game is made :rolleyes: when u first get a item it is unknown to you until u identify it.

It is called the identify skill, and not only cleric and mages get it. check out the listing in back of manual of classes. Even without points it it you still have a chance to identify less quality items(right click and it'll show you %). you will need to sleep after an unsucessful try though.
I've found by the time you can put points in identify enough to identify the better items (more costly to do in shop) that is just isn't worth it. If you instead put points in honor and bargain you can make infinate money buy saling items for more than you can buy them for (mage/cleric spells). In fact once I noticed Honor has an impact on pricing I have never wanted for cash after getting to arindale...
