Problem with Mictlantecuhtli

I went to the lair of Mictlantecuhtli and killed him the first time but I also died at the same time. I went back in and instead of having to kill him all over again I now see his spirit. The problem is I start whomping him with magic spells (Egyptian - Chain Lightning and Lightning Curse) and nothing happens. Not does he inflict any damage on me. I'm thinking this is a bug but would like to see if anybody else has run across this.

Benn bombing away for 15 minutes straight and managed to get 100 pts of life off of him. And only when a critical spell happens. :(

Me and my wife had a problem with one of the main guys to, and had to wind up resetting our quest status and starting all over. We wanted to try different chars so it wasn't that big of a deal at the time. the game doesn't seem to like one dieing when fighting main bosses (The one we fought wouldn't let us revive until both of us died and then not at his location), yet normally it has no death penalty go figure and it is just way to poorly balanced so you die quit easily if you just go from area to area quickly without redoing them.

Sorry don't have anything to help you with this situation and by these forums I don't think they are even supporting the game much if any other than the few menial patches they released...

Good luck with your issue, have you tried normal weapons rahter than magic?
