Black Screen

Every time I start the game I get a black screen but I can hear sound. I tried updating my drivers and lowering the screen resolution but it did not work.
My video card is e-GeForce 8800 GTX. Please help!

you aren't by any chance running on a Sony VAIO are you?

Iv'e got the same problem! My screen just goes black when I try to start the game, I do hear sound from the game, as well as the intro. But Everything goes black, the only thing I can see is the crusor witch is the crusor you have during playin Seven kingdoms Conquest. I've got nvidia geforce 8600 GS.

And just for the facts, im not running on a sony vaio. Please, help!

When I try to start the game, the screen goes black, and I get a pop up box that says:

Create Device fails (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)

Anyone know how to fix this, or should I just return the game?

If it helps I have a dell laptop running Vista Home Basic.

Sounds like u might be lucky...if you got a screen shot, then you would have to deal with the fact that the game isn't finished being developed yet.
