So having read all the hatred for this game that had built up in the space of three days, I was really expecting to hate it as well. But actually, it's not that bad.
Peoples biggest complaint is that the only thing it has in common with the previous Seven Kingdoms games is the title. This is true, but as a game in it's own right, I like it. Ive had loads of fun so far (and that's why I play games).
This game definately needs patching though. Definately. As most people have discovered, you can't actually finish the human tutorial which is a problem. So can anyone from Dreamcatcher tell me if there is any chance for a patch at some point?

Okay we really, really need a patch. Not only can a whole load of people not play the game but it's actually impossible to finish the campaign because sometimes the victory doesnt trigger after you've killed all your opponents. Please please don't leave us with a broken game!

There are 2 kind of changes that can be applied to a Game's Saga...
1) The productive changes.
2) The unnecessary changes...
Well, it seems that 7KC have both of them...
-Why there isn't any builders/miners/workers?
There used to be that kind of units in the older versions... Now buildings just appear form the ground, and you don't research anything in any special building created for that goal. Now it rolled back to AoE or something.
-Why there isn't any resources?
7KAA and 7K2 use to force players to fight-to-survive. You were forced to build mines and those resources were critical. Now your economy is simpler, but not better. Of course, you have other ways of earning cash but...
-Why there isn't any caravans?
The trading system of 7KAA was one of the best and versatile system of all strategy games... Now there isn't even a camel.
-No more diplomacy between player-computer.
No more alliances, no more trading... AI's kingdoms are now more limited.
-Ambassadors...
That's a hit. A good idea. More realistic. It's a shame you can't initiate diplomatic actions with IA...
-Effective grahpics.
Not the GREAT thing, but... Nice, brilliants and allows you to play the game at his full potential, with full 6 players at the same time.
-NO RANDOM MAP!!!!
OMG. You only can play pre created maps... Customize is almost impossible, and very frustrating. It really decrease the game's possibilities.
And... There are only maps for 6, 6 playeres.... And its 7 kingdoms...
You can fix a lot of things, and i hope you will do it.
Thanks anyway.

This really smells of the constant problems in Dungeon Lords....
I will NEVER purchase a Dreamcatcher game again! One was too much!
