Need help with turnstiles

Can anybody give me a spoiler for how to turn these? I was on the phone when the guy gave the instructions so I am not 100% sure what to do. I know it has something to do with each thing being turned so the teeth face some direction for the skeleton, nose werewolf etc but I cannot seem to get the right combo on it.

If you aren't sure which rack items go with which costume, double-check the costume book.

Then, click on a costume (lets say the Pirate) and turn the rack until the potion bottles are FACING YOU directly. When you have each of them in the correct position, one of the Hardys will say so.
