So I'm figuring it's a combination lock etc. but I can't seems to even get the first one. Am I missing something? Is it just a random thing? and how many depressions? four?

It seems I've pressed every possible combination and the side claspe too. All without sucess :( What am I doing wrong? I can't see anything else in the game that I haven't done yet to proceed. Seems I need the locket solved before I can open up this box from the west wing at the mansion. So I'm stuck.
You need to have a message in you phone that says:her this,her that.
Don't know what page.

Well good to know there's something I'm missing, but the whole question is what. I've roamed around trying everything i can think of, no one says anything, no phone calls, can't seem to combine any inventory items, explored everywhere i can see, so i'm stuck still.
I had the same problem. In the phone, where you see Llywellyn's confession, he gives an extra step that's kind of confusing... I think it's a typo.
Anyway, to open the locket:
Click the left petal, right petal, left petal, top petal and then click on the button at right.

Well, there was nothing in the phone... but I managed to open the locket with your help, thanks. She confessed her plot earlier, but now says nothig more and it wasn't recorded in the phone or anything. I don't know, anyways looks like I can continue on finally, thanks so much.
Hm, that is quite puzzling. Well, at least you can move forward now. Glad I could help! :)
