After the comic intro the game freezes up!

After the comic intro, the game freezes up completely. Then I cannot go to my desktop or anything. A little help please! Is one of the patches good for this? I'm so confused. I don't want to always have to install a patch every time I reinstall the game!

Urg. I can't figure out how to edit my posts on here. Anyway, I got the game working by not using the disk. Now the game freezes up after either Frank or Joe goes down stairs and gets caught by their mother. I go back upstairs, and wham! it freezes and messes up my computer. :(

So Far. i've figured it out. To stop that from happening, every time you go to the stair area, you first have to move around outside. Then it won't freeze after you get caught.

You mean you move Joe around outside before Frank goes for the keys? I haven't played the game for 6 weeks waiting for some sort of solution from tech "support" here.
I think they figure because they gave a patch, they can ignore the forum now. At least it sure appears that way, since it has been at least 3-4 weeks since I have written and have no replies at all.

That's exactly what I mean. I wish I hadn't bought this game. I want my money back! I'm serious. This game is practically unplayable. It's too hard to figure out what to do next (I mean, who would think of combining the parrot and the cellphone?!) way to slow, and full of glitches that stop my computer from working properly.

I'd be willing to try to play again if they came up with an updated, glitch free version, but that doesn't loom like it's going to happen any time soon.

Do any of you know how to go about getting a refund?

I have been trying 4 a refund for weeks and they say U CAN ONLY GET A REFUND IF U BOUGHT IT FROM THIS STORE. IF NOT THEN U CAN ONLY GET A EXCHANGE. :mad: i have had it!!! this is sooo dumb the game is DEFECTIVE!!!

Try the game again, but before you move Frank, save the game, then restart the game, and try again. Someone else mentioned this, but I thought I had tried it. I can now play the game. Let me know, I am not sure if I said it right. :)

I've actually gotten pretty far into the game now. I just keep having problems with it freezing up, and causing my computer to freak out. Not just at the beginning. For example if i linger a bit at the grave at the nurses shed it will freeze up. :(

I actually managed to finish the game, without freezing anymore, just reeeal slow. This was a very disappointing game. The plot was great, but the graphics, slowness, freezing, difficult problems etc made it not very fun. Good luck .

may be the next one will be better . . if i buy it.

Thanks! I do get the idea that without the problems the game would actually be fun.

And a word of advice for the administrators, If you plan on making any more games, you should really try to make yourself available for people on here. The patch doesn't solve everything, you know.

It seems to me that there are a lot of problems with this game and no-one from the company is helping us! I too am having the same problems. I get the keys but I can't get Frank up the stairs fast enough. His mom always catches him. Then the keys go back in the bowl. I had the problem of freezing too on another copy. I exchanged the game already once. My problem is that I see several posts about problems and NO replies, except those from other customers. Where is the customer care? This is the first game I have ever purchased for my son. Probably the last! There are so many problems I see, it isn't worth it.
