Won't let me go places

Hello, I'm having problems toward the end of the game:mad:. So I am about to win the game when they tell me i need one more piece of evidence. They say its at the West part of the mansion. But the game won't let me go there. Either there isn't a little thing to click on at all or when i click on the little red thing, it won't let me go there. I am really pissed of and if you guys could help it would be great. Please tell me if I have to order a new game. If I do have to order a new game i would like to get it for free considering what happened. Maybe it's just my computer, but i think it's the game.:mad:
I don't know if you guys had this problem too, but please help.
