Ok are you all ready? This is in response to a smart *** post Pauly made in light of me letting him know that it was amazing that he got the game to go on 3 computers:
My screen name is Kannapolis8, but I'm known as Will. So here we go, Pauly Shore:
Will goes to Best Buy, and sees Iron Storm on the shelf. Cool Graphics on the box and seems to be cool idea for a game. Will purchases Iron Storm and brings it home. Will loads Iron Storm into the computer. Eager to play, Will heads to the kitchen and gets some chips and a Budweiser. Iron Storm completes installation...
Rut Roh! Will clicks on the Iron Storm icon and watches a couple quick movies. The menu appears and Will clicks on "campaign" mode. Oh ****, the game drops to the desktop. What is Will to do?
Will goes to the game manual and notices a web site for DC tech support. Cool, he's got the problem under control. He finds a patch 1.02 and thought he has figured out the problem. Cool, right? Nope. Will downloaded the patch 1.02 and that didn't fix the problem. Will notified DC(Harold) about the problem and was told the patch for my problem would be available in a couple weeks. Then told the 25th of November. Harold also tells me that I should download a patch for Windows XP that might relieve the problem. No dice, pal.
Will also tries different refresh rates, graphics modes, etc. But he wonders: "Why in the **** should I have to do all of this stuff if the game box lets me know that I meet all the requirements to play this game?"
Will joins the forum and notices that alot of people are having the same problem as he. He waits, and waits, and waits. Finally, the 25th of November passes and Will becomes a little unhappy for the first time since buying the game in the middle of October. Run around comes to mind. And Will reads the forum to see if anyone has ideas, and a couple guys named Pauly and C3PO or whatever his name was bad mouth him and others cause they can't get the game to go.
Will and many others wait for DC to answer the pleas for when the patch will be available, but no answer. Why would a company ruin it's reputation by ignoring it's customer's questions and basically forcing other user's of the game to fill in the void is beyond Will. This is terrible! Terrible, terrible! Now the DC (Iron Storm) forum users have turned on each other because the customers are answering all the questions about what's wrong with the game and not the developer.
So you tell me what's wrong with that Pauly, and P3YOT3? If you can let me know why guys like you are standing out so much instead of the guys who should be, I'm cool with that. But also let me know where the real guys who are supposed to help are?
Will
