Desktop Crash!!! No fix works! Pleas Help!!!

i keep getting the same desktop crash error as a lot of folks out there. the usb isn't the cause cuz i have no usb devices and the usb ports have been disabled under bios. i tried the sound fix under dxdiag; still no dice. these are my specs

winxp pro
ecs k7vta3 rev.2 mobo
amd xp1600 1.4ghz
512mb pc2100 ddr ram
sb live gamer
geforce3 ti200

Please Help!!!
