I bought Iron Storm in the middle of October, and of course like many of you, could not get the game to run. So I griped, and griped, and asked for a reason, or help to get this game to run. I even got a little nasty with a couple of fellas that tried to help me which didn't help. I was frustrated, period.
So I decided it was time that I stop posting on this forum, because to me I was making this company look like an ***. I also thought that I would stop posting just to see if there was one week, or month that I didn't post, a patch that was supposed to be released long ago would suddenly appear. Nothing.
I even went so far as to lie (I hate lying) to my fellow frustrated gamers that I would just throw this game out, like DreamCatcher should have. I didn't. I didn't because I thought there was a little hope from DC that this game will soon go. But the attention to this matter, or lack thereof, is horrible. I go away for a couple weeks after being told that the patch will be available soon, to return with a bunch of new faces and some old ones complaining about the same problems I have.
This is totally rediculous! Why is this game still on the shelves? I guess the word "recall" isn't in DC's vocabulary or something. If I were some of the employees of DC or any affiliate to DC, you better start looking for new jobs with respectable companies like Electronic Arts, Sierra, etc. while you can. Cause when DC folds up it's tents, your resume will not count for squat.
Now there is a pretty small group of you that got this game to go. Whether without having Multi-Player problems, or the common CTD problem like I have. That is cool that you got the experience to play this game. Afterall I did experience the game, by viewing the screenshots on the box. But from there, nothing.
There is also a small group that actually have helped us who have the problems we do, and I thank you. You're doing a great job where someone else should be.
Now to the people who should be helping us who have problems... Help us by talking to us and quit ignoring us. From what I have read in this Iron Storm forum, the problem is not going away. The rash is getting bigger, and there hasn't been an explanation nor a solution. I am not here to stir up any trouble or arguements, but enough is enough. There are alot of angry customers who are unsatisfied with DC, and you had better correct the problems soon or you WILL find yourselves in the unemployment line.
So Harold, or someone else who is also being used as a servant to DreamCatcher, when is the patch coming out? Or are you going to remain tight lipped like your bosses have told you to until the shi*storm clears? From what I have read, the storm will continue...
