Crash!

Hello: I just purchased Ironstorm and was really disappointed that it would not run without crashing to the desktop. I tried everything, your most recent patch, new drivers for everything remotely related, your "safe" configuration file, resolution changes, deleting the movies, etc., etc. Nothing seems to work. When is a fix expected for this? If not real soon, I'll take my copy back to the store and claim that it is defective product.

Any idea why the game keeps booting out, back to my desktop when I finally get on the truck at the end of level 2?

I've loaded the latest patch, butthe program keep kicking me out. I'd hate to use the disc as a coaster if I can't go any further.

Regarding the post from 2002, it appears that he did everything I would suggest except, verification that his drivers ( especially video drivers ) are WHQL certified.
It would be nice if the member posted thier computer stats also. Seems that SP2 actually overrwrote some files that....shouldn't have been overwritten. I forget where I found it, but there is a patch that restores those files, that you wont find on the Windows update site. I would have to dig around on my old system to get the name of that compressed file.
Now regarding cop54, it may be just a case of needing to delete the default config file, and renaming the 'safe config to default config.

Remember people, WHQL is NOT a scheme to drive business to billy's buddies, BW may recall how a 'beta' driver screwed my pooch for a few weeks.
