I too started on this page I came looking for answers as well. My game would play the little movie than go back to windows. And oh boy that really was a bummer.
But I wrote the company tried the patches and I finally got it to work.
My system: 1.7MHz, 512MB RAM, 80GB HD, Sound Blaster Live Gamer, Graphics card Nvidia GeForce Ti-4200 w/ AGP8x, OS XP PRO.
This is what I did that made it work, updated my grapchics card with a patch from there website, downloaded the v1.03 patch, turned off any anti-virus programs (only while game runs, you might be able to disable it in the bottom right corner with all the other apps), bought a new mouse a Microsoft OpticalMouse blue, did the minimum installation, make sure you have DirectX 9.0
I am happy to say I am playing the game and enjoying sniping people. If you have any questions please let me know this is a very good game just takes a little tweaking.
