Playing Problem

Well, I decided to finally buy a new game, so I went shopping and bought Iron Storm thinking it would be a pretty fun game to play. Only problem is, I cant play it, I have a unique problem to everyone here on the board: The game installs fine (as far as I know) But after its installed and I click the desktop icon, then click Play Ironstorm, nothing happens! Nothing at all! Doesnt blink, doesnt even make the computer do anything. Its like im clicking into a void. Anyone have any Ideas? If I would have known is was going to be this much of a pain to play, I wouldnt have bought it.
