First off.. I'm a "single player" person, so multi-player elements in a game have no relevance to me.

I have to admit... at the beginning I was a bit apprehensive with the game as I got about 2 minutes into the game and the snipers were having their way with me..

After I hung in there, got the hang of finding the snipers, it picked up ;)

Graphics.. I thought the game was above par... hard to understand people fussing about the graphics being bad *shrug*

Weapons.. it was a tad frustrating that I couldn't have but one.. but I got used to it.

Control the uncontrollable situations: There was a situation in the game where you were captured and you had to hand over all your weapons.. I would have preferred that you guys made it so it was more of a movie or you just nailed my feet to the floor and I was *forced* to turn over my weapons. Why? I was the hero! No WAY was I going to go peacefully.... I spent hours trying to get through that area without giving up.... :)

Save game: Thanks for not going the "way of the console" and just saving at the beginning of a level. I like being able to save anywhere so I can get through tough areas without having to do an entire level over.... and over.... I throw games out that are like that. I don't feel a game is fun when I have to play a level a *week*. I'm no super gamer (obviously).

Some characters made some noise.. chatter when they were coming... I wish they all did that.. the guys with the gas masks and rock launchers.. I hatez them :p

Turrets... holy ****.. make those things easy to destroy... like 2 rounds of machine gun fire or one rocket... or even a grenade should take them out... one thing in the game that was the most frustrating... let me waste my ammo on them!!! ;)

Goals: I need a list of goals I am trying to accomplish.. hit [Tab] and show them would be MOST helpful. Show me what I've done, etc.

No load times... this was implemented pretty well... but sometimes you picked ****py times to do it.. like right at the opening of a door... then you're standing there with a 4 second pause waiting for the door to open... pretty annoying.

Dogs... just what does it take to shoot these **** things? Seems like the enemy killed their own dogs more than MY fire did.. 2 or 3 dogs took me 14 re-loads to kill.. I could run backwards and fire just fine... but no matter how many bullets I fired... the dogs.. with NO ARMOR... resisted quite a bit.

Doors: the noise the doors make in the last building of the game.. holy **** how annoying. And auto-closing? Stop that... who has that on every door in a building?

Overall.. quite enjoyable! I was swearing and throwing things so I must have enjoyed it :)

Where's the next one? :)

Three years later, I'd still say these were good observations. The 'auto-closing' doors in the Reichstag hadn't really occurred to me; I took them for granted. (All doors close again behind you in this game, from Level 1 onwards.)

Sure, I'd love to design this game using, say, the Half-Life² physics engine - which is so realistic as to be simply astounding; all objects in the environment behave as they really would (yes, you can pick up a TV, shut it off by yanking it out of its plug with a pop of sparks, and throw it out the window!) - but the 4X Studios' Phoenix 3D engine seen here is pretty darned good, which the nitpickers don't seem to realize. Not until Half-Life² have I ever seen another game where spent casings litter the ground. That's not a trivial accomplishment in a game environment!

I would have no problem using this 3D engine, these map elements - as I've said before, everything needed to do this world properly, is already here; they just didn't take the time to do it, nor make the tools available for us to do so.
