1. Built in config editor that includes a description of each variable when selected, it should also include allowed variables and should be the only way to edit the config. (I personally don't care about config editing but some people seem to think it gives some sort of an advantage so it should be limited somewhat so those people don't cry too much)
2. Built in demo viewer that allows for a description for each demo with things such as event and date recorded. (Some demos showing the different modes played at a high skill level, especially 1 on 1, should be included with the game so new players and people that don't play online much can see how good people can be at the game.
3. Support for broadcasting the games over the internet such as gtv for quake.
4. Multiview demos such as mvd for quake 3 or quakeworld
5. ability to log in different players (basically just runs a different config) for people that share machines or want to check out other players settings.
6. ability to check weapon stats such as in osp or cpma for quake 3, also it would be kind of cool to have stats such as wins/losses and accuracies saved on the players computer so they can see how they improve over time.
7. A way to basically lock the server for duels and things so the people in the game stay playing each other. This would be for practicing where people set up a practice or something and they only want to play each other. When a server is "locked" it should change the server name to include something like "(L)" or something at the beginning so people don't join and wait and then find out they don't get to play. The ability to lock a server should be determined by the admin and if allowed should just require a vote.
That is all I can think of for now, but basically the kinds of things found in mods for previous games like osp for quake 3 would generally be a good idea to consider including.
