    Default Which Is better?

I'm about to choose between a crusader or a hatamoto for my 5th class choice.. but I was wondering if any of you could tell me based on experience which is better?

The main difference between the 2 seems to be that the crusader has crushing blow, while the hatamoto now has critical strike..

does either of the 2 work? i cant really be sure with the huge number of bugs or inactive skills in the game..

im currently a samurai with points in inflict wounds and im not even sure if THAT works!

The Diablic skills don't show any special effect or animation at all So it is hard to tell if it is working, but they seem to. I'd Hamato is better myself, crushing blow tends to knock the enemy away and like it isn't annoying enough to keep close to character without them being knocked back...Maybe it is just me but in any game I avoid knockback if I can. I feel there is nothing worse than getting to an enemy hitting him them have to chase after him again....I wish their was a menu option that controlled the amount of knockback in game, especially for spells.

I have a Mage-Knight-Battle Mage-Sorcerer-Warlock that I made just to see if it could be done...and a bug killed my tier 3 questing so...

    How?

Hex edit save game I think the offsets for classes can be found at:

Hatamoto is good but only if you have heavy armor/shield already.
critical strike is better than crushing blow, I get enough enemys backing up cliffs and walls as it is, no need to make it worse.
I have fighter-samurai-hatamoto + adept-celestial, I like my character only I dont have heavy shield/armor. ALL the good shields are heavy. besides the relic shield Im stuck with grim shield till the end. (I wouldn't mind so much if I could REPAIR it).

critical strike doesn't seem to occur often enough and only on weaker monsters when it does happen. as for crushing blow, it can be annoying when the monster gets knocked back but it is useful when fighting mobs.

those two diabolic skills aside, i'd choose the crusader because he gets heavy weapons, armor, and shield. the good armor and shields are heavy. heavy weapons isn't too bad either especially since there is at least one heavy weapon that can be used with a light weapon for dual wielding. i know one of those heavy weapons is the dark sword that the succubi drop in the tomb of souls. although, your heavy weapons skill has to be high enough.

darkpark.. well, in order to become a crusader, you'd have to be a paladin first.. and a paladin already gets heavy armor, heavy shield and heavy weapons plus channel to boot..

so the question between a hatamoto or a crusader actually really boils down to which is better..
    critical strike.. or crushing blow..

and hmm.. now come to think of it.. im also wondering how effective iron will is..
can it prevent you from coughing during gas attacks? do you not get knocked back.. or stunned.. and do you still have to suffer that annoying split second of inactivity when you get torched, frozen, etc..

    what exactly does it PREVENT?

i'm already killing smaller enemies with one blow already.. so how do you actually know critical strike is taking effect?

one can never really be sure what is working or isnt in this game.. lol..

Why you even bothered to get that far with the game in the state it is in is beyond me, but i've been curious to see how Hatamotos are. In japan, they were edo period ninjas who use a large 2 handed sword.

    lol..

you have to admit.. there are some of us guys who feel that this is still one heckuva addictive game.. bugs and whatnot aside..

and in reply to your curiousity spockperfect.. the game does try to follow history a lil i guess.. since hatamoto classes do gain a heavy weapon skill ability in addition to their critical strike..
