Pharaoh's Curse - Technical Help

I've just finished Syberia (it kicked!) and have installed Pharaoh's Curse. When I launch it, my screen pops into DOS mode full screen, then immediately pops back into GUI Windows. I'm running XP, and have downloaded the most recent DirectX, and all the updated drivers for my video card. Syberia runs just fine.

Any ideas?
